Default Removing Fields from the check out form

Does anyone know if if there is a way to delete fields from the check out form? Specifically, the title and the county, neither of which is strictly necessary and taking them out will reduce the amount of "work" a customer has to do to check out.

You can hide the title at Site > configuration > order

Don't know about County, but if you do remove it you will probably find that some customers try to cram it in the town/city field

You can tick if it's a required field but it will still display it regardless I believe.

Yes you're right. I thought I had seen it somwhere in the past but can't find it now so I'm probably wrong.

Title field was mandatory and it was bugging me as every time I put through a test order I forgot to choose an option, so eventually turned it off.

Site-Configuration-order tab then scroll down until you find the customer title field required and uncheck it. Not sure about the county field though I'm afraid

I don't think this actually hides the Title field, does it? Just makes it not a required field ...
