Hi

I am probably being blonde again but can anyone tell me how to send a single email using the email manager. I would like to inform customers after each order the status of their loyalty points, which is not possible automatically. I have tried leaving the recipients set to None and then putting the email address in the additional box. But all this seems to do is send me a copy and not the recipient (based on the email log in file manager). Any help would be appreciated. Pat

I'm sure it won't show an email in the Email log for every email you're sending. So you are probably sending an email to the person you intend. It will automatically send you a copy.

It should tell you, number of emails sent.

If you're still unsure, do you have a second email address you can use? Yours or a friends? Try sending to that email address and see if the email goes to that email address.

Can't the follow up email be used for this.

I don't know what the variables are for this so can't try it, but can this not be done in the Order completed email in Language Manager?

Hi Pat,

What you're doing should work but make sure the recipient is not unsubscribed or opted out as it will check this first before sending.

Hi Chris, I have checked and the particular customer is not unsubscribed - so should not be the problem. Red Devil - are you saying that the log only shows emails that are generated automatically. Thanks for any replies. Pat

Yes. if you send out 1,000 emails through the Email Manager, it wouldn't show them in the Email Log. It might show the confirmation email it sends to the Admin.
