    Default 2-Step Verification For Admin

With the growing importance of data protection and GDPR we were wondering if now's the time for BP to consider implementing a 2-Step Verification Process for Admin. We know we can lock down admin and restrict access to particular countries, we only allow access for country code GB to our site, but that doesn't stop any potential attacks from the UK.

Whether it's a security code setup and we are asked during login to enter random digits from it or even better IMHO a text confirmation code sent to a mobile number surely having another level of authentication can only be a good thing ? Please though no tick all images that show a car etc, I hate that.

    Regards,

    Dave

This would be a very prudent security update, text to a mobile phone would be great.

Actually i'm all for this - I currently use text message phone verification for login on 6 wordpress sites, works really well.

Lets face it its the way Verified by visa is going as well.

    Neil.

It would be no good to us as we ban our employees from using mobile phones at work.

Being able to force them to change their passwords every so often would be a good idea though

If the 2nd verification could be optional set to mobile code or a code held against the admin it would cater for both.

Quickbooks offer the code to mobile or an email, Chris would that work for your employees (to an email)?

Not really as only the office guys have a company email address, Warehouse staff don't have access to email.

I think that this is actually a really good idea. I'd like it so that once you've verified a device / browser, you have the option to not have to verify on every subsequent use (like Am a z @n do).
