    Default Newsletter bounces

I've just trialled the GDPR subscription email using the newsletter functionality and have received quite a few bounce emails, mostly typos and no longer used but also a few "rejected due to your MTA's poor reputation"...

I'm just wondering if BP handles the bounced emails and removes them from the list or do we have to do that manually?

Like all promotional emails, bounced emails are not handled by Bluepark. You have to remove or correct the users information manually.

However, for GDPR I would not bother as if you can't reach them with the GDPR consent email, you can't send them marketing emails either. That's the approach I'm taking.

    Yeah, makes sense.

I agree for the purposes of GDPR but it would be good to have a clean database.

I've been previously using Mailchimp and importing contactable users from BP. I didn't realise until yesterday there was another group of people I should have been exporting too - guest customers that ticked the allow contact box.

I sent the GDPR emails last night using BP, and have had around 500 bounces! I don't really want this clogging up my system every time I use BP to send newsletters.

I get abut 200 bounces every month and have always cleared them manually. I have a three strikes and you're out system.

I've always used the Bluepark system and get very few bounces, but the GDPR email generated a lot of bounces due to detected spam, not sure why. Doing another one tomorrow in our standard newsletter format to see if that makes a difference.

Probably because we're all sending out GDPR emails to all our customers so blueparks mail servers are sending out a LOT more emails than usual, probably with a lot of them being sent by different domains but with word for word (ish) content... which looks a bit suss.
