    Question DPD (Local) API Integration

Has anyone integrated the DPD system with Bluepark? We would be interested to see if this is the case in light of the Royal Mail integration coming soon, would be amazing to have 99% of the orders process automatically into the DPD system and complete with tracking number when dispatched!

The DPD API documentation v2.0 only gives you read-only view of myDPD which makes me wonder why they bothered. This may change in the future but you would not be able to do this until Bluepark amend their own API to read one or more tracking numbers associated with a completed order. I am writing the tracking number back from Royal Mail Click and Dispatch to the admin notes of the order. This is one of many 'fudges' putting data where it doesnt belong.

We are efectively managing the post-delivery process ( In-transit / Delivered / Returned) through the admin notes field. If you think about it there is scope for a whole returns management section to be developed within BP as well. Personally I wish 80% of the future development resource was on 3rd party API connections and Bluepark API as thats where the benefit is.
