Question Email Newsletter - Does BP filter "additional recipients" using "allow contacts"?

What would be really useful would be this:

    https://www.bluepark.co.uk/forums/sh...-they-purchase

But in the absence of that sending a newsletter to a group of users is a pain. We have to export all orders, then sort everything in excel, remove the people who haven't bought specific products, then remove duplicates, then we end up with a list of the customers emails that we actually want to send the newsletter to.

So my question is, when we cut & paste this list of customer emails into the "additional recipients" section of the email newsletter page, does BP recognise them as existing users email addresses and filter them according to their individual "allow contacts" settings or does it assume they are all non-bp emails and not bother?

I'd still be interested in the answer but we sorted this another way.

We exported all the orders and all the users, did a vlookup and basically added all the relevant users to a new group, then re-imported the users. Then we just emailed the group. Bit of a faff, and we'd have to do it every time we wanted to send a newsletter, so the feature suggestion would be a much better solution...
