Question How do we do side banners?

There seems to be a lot of websites out there at the moment that have a central, white, main product area - and then down both sides they have either adverts or details of other products. I'm not sure if side banners is the right name for them but that's what I mean.

So maybe an 60% width website with 20% space each side? But instead of dead space there are graphics there.

Here's an ideal example - https://metro.co.uk/news/ - I'm talking about the brassic ads down the side.

Is there a way to do that in BP?

Not looked at example you have given but maybe set your template up to have left, centre and right columns ? Then create / assign blocks.

I don't think that will work. Without looking I think they are just going to be fixed width, with borders - not edge of screen to edge of middle section...?

I just had a look at your example link and all that is is a large background image - if you visit the page again and zoom-out in your browser you'll see what I mean.

Easy to replicate something very similar on Bluepark with a large image and a CSS position of fixed so that it doesn't scroll.

As Dave said though, in order to create true skyscraper images you'd be better of creating a block with said image in it and then assign it to either the left or right column.
