Question Information bar below nav bar?

Is there a quick/easy way of getting an information bar between the nav bar and the page content? For displaying covid updates or whatever on every page.

If not a quick/easy way, then what is the best way to do this?

Can you create a full width block? I thought they were only left, centre or right?

With the top block you can set it to span the left & right colums

ah yes, so you can, there is a "span left/right" column option. Thanks, that seems ideal.

There is a variable to get the current year (%year), but I haven't seen one mentioned anywhere for the full date. However, there is an option within the template editor to display the full date within the navigation bar, so maybe one does exist and it just hasn't been documented (or not that I've seen anyway). I'd give BP a quick call/email to confirm.
