    Default MOTO Questions...

When using the MOTO function for taking orders over the phone is there any way of adding items "on the fly"? People sometimes request odd little bits and bobs that they've bought before but which haven't been added to the store as a stock item. As far as I can see there's no way of adding these to a MOTO order?

Also, when taking an order via MOTO it's possible to add things to the cart which are out of stock. Is there any way of preventing this?

    Cheers

The way we do this is to create a product called "MISCELLANEOUS ITEM" with an addition called "Details" at 0.00. Then we just type in the details and add this to the basket. You can of course edit the price in MOTO mode. It's also handy to add notes to an order line.

Yes, I use a generic product, too. It's the only way I know of.
