Do our websites block users for wrong passwords?

We've had 2 users in the last week mention that they've forgotten their passwords then been blocked from the website after a number of failed attempts (the first one could no longer access the website from his phone, but it worked when he tried from his PC, suggesting it might be blocking the IP).

Do our websites do this? If so is it temporary?

Check the ip is not on the banned list. General / Settings > File Manager . I've had it when a customer changes pages too quickly the site thinks it's under attack and bans the ip.
