    Default Moto/guest/remote control Orders

Hi is there a way to do an order for someone (on their existing account) but without them receiving the order email?

There is no option to tick the box to not send emails to the customer once in remote control/moto.

Doing it as a Guest does not allow you to attach the order somehow to their account.

So I cannot see a way of doing an order and stopping the customer getting the email.

The reason Im asking all this is that Im trying to work out a way to do exchanges which are not easy as there is no ideal way!

    Any thoughts anyone?

    Thanks.

    I have the same issue.

As a work around I temporarily change the customers email address to my own so they don't receive the email. Just don't for get to change it back afterwards.

A tick box to not send the email would be a lot better.

So Chris do you mean that you do the new order from scratch with your own email address in remote control? then change it to the right one once complete?. Or do you mean that you go into their account then change the email then do the order then change it back?

    Thanks.

I go into their account and change their email to one of my own (make sure it's not one that you already use for a test account if you have one). Then put the order on with remote control, once you have received the order confirmation change their email back.

I usually copy and paste their email address into the admin comments section first so that I can copy and paste it back again when I've done.

Looking at it, after creating the order using your own email, would you not then use the "transfer order to" to then put it into the customers own account?

I've never tried it that way, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
