    Default Dpd

Does anyone here use DPD, and if so how are you getting the order data into their system now that they require a list of all the items in the order (as opposed to previously when it was baiscally just name and address)?

Currently we export to csv, run it through a perl script then import into MyDPD, but that won't work any longer for EU orders without completely rewriting the scripts.

Take a look at the shiptheory / bp integration for booking dpd.

Shiptheory are pretty awesome. we use them via a customised booking app and api, but they are integrated with BP.

I second that, I use Shiptheory and in fact worked very closely with them for the new Bluepark integration, it works flawlessly and as Neil says is awesome. The support is second to none too.

ok, that seems really cool. But how are you wording the order complete emails?

It seems like for our DPD setup, shiptheory is returning the tracking number to go in the email. So if we were just using DPD we could change "Youraccount :: Tracking :: Text" to say "Sent by DPD, tracking number %a" for example.

But what if we're also using shiptheory to send Royal Mail with no tracking... there doesn't seem an obvious way of wording it that tells them the tracking number is for DPD and no tracking number is royal mail...?

Each shipping option can have its own tracking code inserted..... see the shipping methods drop down, shipping editor, fulfillment.

Neil is correct there. We use the following information in the Tracking address (URL) for our DPD Local shipping method, it will be something similar for DPD

    https://www.dpdlocal.co.uk/apps/trac...ence=%tracking

This provides the customer with a tracking link in the completion email, so they just click on the link to obtain the tracking info.
