Default Something wrong with forgotten password requests?

Is anyone else getting customers emailing to say they've forgotten their password and aren't getting any reply from the "forgotten password" request (and yes they're checked their junkmail/spam folders).

I've been getting these across multiple sites for at least the last year, from various email domains (ie. not just gmail), and it's just getting too many to be "user error".

    Anyone else seeing this problem?

Have you checked the email log to see if the password reminders are been sent ?

uh, no, didn't even know that existed! But just found it and checked - no record of any emails being sent out to that user.

Have you tried asking for the password reminder as your user and then checking the log ? Obviously asking them first if they mind you doing this.

No, hadn't thought of that, but I'll definitely try that on the next one. Up to now I've just been resetting the password myself, and emailing it to them.

    Thanks!
