PayPal Payments Standard Configuration

Follow four simple steps to configure PayPal Payments Standard

Bluepark's ecommerce software packages support the popular PayPal Payments Standard payment processor for receiving payments online. Simply follow these four simple steps to begin using this solution.


Step 1:

Select Configuration
from the Site menu

Access your secure Administration Console by entering your Username and Password. Once you have gained access, select Configuraton from the Site menu.


Step 2:

Select PayPal
Payments Standard
on the Payment tab

On the Payment tab, select PayPal Payments Standard from the Primary Payment Processor field. Once this is selected, click the Save button (the floppy disk icon) at the top-right of the page. The PayPal Payments Standard tab will then appear directly to the right of the Payment tab.

PayPal Payments Standard tab

Step 3

On the PayPal Payments Standard tab, enter your Business E-Mail in the field provided, which will enable PayPal to correctly identify your account. You must use a PayPal Business account.

The Currency can be set to any ISO 4217 currency code, and defaults to GBP. The Description field may contain any text you would like to use to identify your transactions, and is only used for reference purposes.


Step 4:

Add your IPN URL to
your PayPal account

At the bottom of the PayPal Payments Standard tab, the Instant Payment Notification URL of your site will be listed. The use of IPN ensures that orders paid via PayPal are completed correctly on your Bluepark site. You will need to access your PayPal Profile on PayPal's site to enter this required information:

You should now be ready to begin processing payments using PayPal Payments Standard.
