The advantage of putting content into Blocks is that a chunk of content can be used more than once, and can be repeated in different locations on different pages without having to create many duplicate versions. Blocks can be arranged using the Layout Editor. The most common Block type is the custom Block. This is essentially a blank canvas which can be filled with text, images or anything you wish. Several Blocks have been installed by default, such as Recent Posts which automatically creates a list of your most recent blog posts. These Blocks cannot be deleted, but may be copied. Designating a selection of Blocks as Random means that you can vary page content every time it is viewed. For example, this feature can be used to randomly display a selection of advertising banners in a specified location.
